Pace invests in the Future of Electric Vehicles charging with GET

Award winning Pace Development Group has partnered with Global Electric Transport (GET), to install electric vehicle (EV) chargers at its Pace of Blackburn residential development.

Under the partnership, GET – a leading provider and installer of electric vehicle charging infrastructure – will supply and install five state-of-the-art shared charging stations for Pace of Blackburn residents and visitors

Pace Development Group and GET have also entered into an exclusive arrangement whereby all future Pace developments will be designed and built to be EV-ready.

Pace Sales and Marketing Director Ashley Bramich said this installation and partnership with GET is a signal to the market that Pace is embracing the electric vehicle future, by providing charging solutions for all residents.

“Given the increasing demand and inevitable widespread adoption of EVs it makes sense to built the concept into the design of all future developments, and avoid very costly retrofitting in the future,” Mr Bramich said.

“There is already substantial demand for EV charging from our existing buyers. Pace welcomes the installation of personal charging solutions within each resident’s designated car park, in addition to the communal charging stations being introduced by Pace.

“Our initial installation of the five shared use charging stations recognises that our residents will have vistors and in time commercial vehicles will be able to avail themselves of this important community infrastructure. It won’t be long before apartments sold as EV ready will be priced at a premium.

“It is estimated that 40% of all cars sold in Australia by 2030 will be EVs, which is why Pace is future-proofing its buildings for the benefit of our residents and the communities we develop in.”

GET Chief Executive Officer Harry Hamann said the partnership with Pace reflected GET’s strategy to partner with quality developers that have an eye to the future.

“Pace is thinking ahead because we know that demand for EVs is well and truly on the rise,” Mr Hamann said.

“The GET product is proven to be an effective charging solution and runs via an App – the user interface is seamless.

“Governments, planners and developers need to understand that retrofitting old buildings to make them EV ready will come at enormous expenses. It makes good sense to design and construct buildings to make sure they are fit for purpose.
